Message from the Principal

Greetings EJA Family,

Hello and Blessings to you all! It is with great joy and gratitude that I welcome you to another wonderful year at Ephesus Junior Academy. As we embark on this journey together, I want to take a moment to reflect on the core values that guide our school community: being a light in our community, showing kindness to others, and putting Christ first in everything we do.

At Ephesus Junior Academy, we strive to be a beacon of hope and love in Richmond, VA. Our mission is not just about academic excellence, but also about nurturing hearts that will shine brightly in the community. We encourage our students to be examples of kindness, compassion, and integrity, reaching out to others with love and understanding, just as Christ has shown to us.

Each day, we are reminded of the importance of putting Christ at the center of our lives. In every classroom, on every playground, and through every interaction, we teach our students to prioritize faith, service, and community. By making Christ first in all that we do, we believe that our school becomes not only a place of learning but a place of transformation where our students are equipped to go into the world and make a positive impact.

As a community, we are committed to walking in the light of Christ, serving others, and creating an environment where every child feels valued and supported. Together, we can build a future where love, kindness, and faith are the foundation of all we do.

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of nurturing your child’s mind and spirit. I look forward to a blessed year ahead as we continue to grow in Christ’s love and be a light to our community.

In His service,

Deneen Howard
Principal, Ephesus Junior Academy

"We love the teachers and what they do for our scholars each day.  They work hard and are committed to helping all the boys and girls succeed."  Mr. & Mrs. Epps.

"I appreciate what my child learned during distant learning. I appreciate the spiritual aspect of how Christ was tied into everything.   Even though we were not able to be in the actual school building towards the end of the school year,  I observed  on Zoom, many times, how engaged the teachers and students were. My child still continued to grow academically. This was a great experience and I praise God for our teachers and staff."  Mrs. Jackson
